Manawa HoʻoMalu

benow-unifyIn ōlelo Hawai`i the Hawaiian language, the term for peace is malu or maluhia.

To cause a quality or state to come into into being is accomplished by adding the ʻprefixʻ ho`o- to the root concept.

According to the Pukui/Elbert Hawaiian Dictionary, the meaning of ho`o-malu is “to bring under the care and protection of, to protect; to keep quiet, still, as during kapu kahiko (ancient sacred time), or today, for peaceful mediation during ho`o-pono-pono.

Which is exactly what groups like UNIFY.org are all about.  Itʻs about time!

Pukui/Ebert defines ho`oponopono as: “to put to rights; to put in order or shape, correct, revise, adjust, amend, regulate, arrange, rectify, tidy up,make orderly or neat, administer, superintend, supervise, manage, edit, work carefully and neatly; to make ready, as a canoe crew preparing to catch a wave.”

Today, hoʻoponopono survives as a unique Hawaiian cultural process, a highly effective and specific technique and time-tested set of protocols to bring aggrieved  parties together, resolve differences and restore harmony following conflict or disagreement.

Mauna Kea Time has also been designed to bring people together, foster connection and facilitate the broader mission of groups like Unify.org

Mauna Kea Time is a simple time toolset that transcends the purposeful limitations of ʻourʻ inherited global industrial time systems.  “Zone” systems designed as a toolset coordinate and control, to separate us from each other, and the natural cycles of the world all life depends on for our collective survival.

Mauna Kea Time was created as an antidote to unwind us all from “clock-wize” time; to allow us to return to the reality of the present, and collaborate on a planetary-scale — to malama honua (Hawaiian “care for/nurture the world”) tikun olam (Hebrew ,  “heal the world”), reconnect to ourselves and back to the world after 500 years of disconnection.

Welcome to the flipside of time.  Now.  Everywhere.  The ʻpresentʻ  thatʻs why we cal it a gift.  What will YOU do with Mauna Kea Time?  Think like a mountain.  Earth-wize wisdom from the watery half of our world – the Pacific – world ocean of peace.
