Mauna Kea Hawai`i, Center of the Pacific.

Located just north of the equator in the center of the watery half of our world – the mighty main-bay of the world-ocean known generally as The Pacific- summit of Mauna Kea soars above 40% of our atmosphere.  At more than 10 kilometers from sea-floor to summit, Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi is the tallest mountain in the world.

It is from here — this unique planet-marking place — we make a break from the tottering Empires of Babylon Time, and begin our third world millennium.  Not from the puny vantage of some faded 19th century naval empire, but from the piko of creation, the single  point with the most reliably clarion views of the largest swath of  the heavens in our world, it is here that we define the zero meridian of the world.  From sunrise on the summit of this million year old slumbering volcano, Mauna Kea ‘White Mountain’, more fully known as Mauna a Wakea ‘Mountain of Sky Father God’, it is from here we mark each revolution of our world. Not in broken Babylonian sexigesimal units of hours, minutes, or seconds, but flowing in connected and continuous moments, iki of a higher frequency – an adagio tempo of now -manawa dekimala.

Thru recognition of our shared Global Now, we spark an evolution in our hearts and minds.  Thru re-connection to the Now that always has been, we unify our hearts and minds.  Thru our combined network power, we begin to change with the world.   This is our moment in time – we are the people weʻve been waiting for – this is the time of hour evolution.  Breath it in, deeply; itʻs been a long time coming.

ʻNow.  Everywhereʻ

Helping develop and distribute this (r)evolutionary global realtime app is one of the most important projects i have ever been involved in.  Why?

Before he died back in 1963, Carl Jung was to have said, if humanity did not go through a fundamental wvolutionary change in counciousness, within 50 years, we would face extinction.  Not just of giraffes, democrats and blue whales, but of the entire human race.  In a psychotically accelerated pace, the aggregate behaviors of industrial societies have been barreling down a dangerous path.  In spite pf all the beauty in the world, this command and control ethos is steadfastly destructive, and seemingly oblivious to the obvious and mounting evidence of the profoundly negative consequences of this worldview.  If we are to make a break from this tragic dystopian trajectory, I submit it is time to re-examine some of the foundational philosophical components of this alienated – and alienating – worldview.

It is time to rethink time.

In a very subtle but profound way,  I feel Mauna Kea Time  can help tip the balance and fundamentally alter – not the world- but our world view.

Where legacy time is predicated on separation, MKT is deeply grounded – literally – into the largest, most massive, tallest and most geologically active volcanic complex on the planet – the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.

Sometimes it feels (like right Now!) there is just no point to spending another hour, minute, or even 1 second in the temporal cul-du-sac of Babylon time.  In the currency of Now, time is not money – money is time .

Invest wisely!

20 years ago, there were no apps, ʻsmartʻ phones or watches.  The world-wide-then was just blossoming networked desktops and a brand new thing called laptops. But with the coming of the new millennium, and Y2k time was in the air.

Now,  20 years later, a growing population of highly mobile and connected people with increasingly portable and powerful platforms are connecting in realtime around the world.  More and more folks — perhaps like You right Now — are also beginning to bump up against the contradictions of legacy time.

Ever look at a dozen clocks on the wall in an airport in the 20th century and realize all the different numbers actually strive to describe the same shared moment in time? What were they thinking!  How quaint!

16 years into our 3rd millennium, today lovers literally a world apart can connect to each other in realtime — from a bicycle backstreet in Bologna Italy to a tiny isle in the center of the Pacific — and share the same passionate living moment. Does  it still make sense to pretend time comes in zones?  That hours spring forward and fall back?  That Now is still too small to encompass our blue world?

If we were to begin anew with time from an deeper understanding of our natural world, and our shared connection — not a mechanical legacy designed to run factories & control a workforce  — but time grounded in the rhythms of the natural world.  Not a model, but an understanding.  Built on love and explicitly designed to foster global connection — time would begin to look much different.

Instead of separating, standardizing and regulating,  Mauna Kea Time connects & liberates,  pulses & breathes. Instead of following a fictitious sun, Mauna Kea Time flows as the world turns.

This is the intention behind Mauna Kea Time – to foster  living realtime connection around our world. As we begin to upgrade our understanding of the here and the now, we become the change we wish to see.  As we change and connect, so too shall we accelerate the change of connection — the fundamental (r)evolution we are already in the midst of.

Some people think we’ve got a lot of work to do to, to reconnect with each other, to our common past, to heal the world and our shared future, but the truth is, it is already happening. Mauna Kea Time is just another point of recognition on that path.

As we unify, our ‘work’ becomes networked, and so our pace is vastly quickened.   As my new friend Steve Tucker from BAMM just shared with me — why work when we can network! And when we do become globally networked in love, we  become unstoppable agents of this change.

If you are inspired to raise your frequency and accelerate the distribution of Mauna Kea Time and a more broadly shared global now, drop us a line! Then we’ll know another has joined “hour evolution”
